garm 0 Posted February 29, 2016 I've installed Pertronix in my other cars, and I liked the results. Does anyone know if there is one (or which is the correct one) for my '67 1500 pre-crossflow? thanks in advance

dgo 80 Posted February 29, 2016 Wow those are expensive. Have you had a look at the alternatives? - Here: http://www.accuspark.co.uk/car_search.html or - Here: http://www.simonbbc.com/electronic-ignition-kits?sort=20a&filter_id=
garm 0 Posted February 29, 2016 Thanks, I'll take a look. The Accuspark page isn't very clear which one is correct. I'll inspect my distributor first.

Pertronix is from the good ole US of A, but shipped to UK addresses from a warehouse in the UK, which as I recall co incidentally had the same postmark town as Aldon! This was about 15 years ago before the cheaper alternatives appeared on the scene. Things may have changed since. I used an Accuspark unit more recently on my Mk1 Transit and had no issues whatsoever with that.
markbagelboy 0 Posted March 1, 2016 i had a look on Accuspark web site it looks like they do not do electronic ignition for Motorcraft distributor, but will do a lucas distributor with electronic ign fitted for the prexflow for £64.

garm 0 Posted March 8, 2016 someone going to help me out here? Or is this one of those closely guarded secrets... :playball:
kenbex522 34 Posted March 8, 2016 Well I thought it was pretty obvious from here on in. Thats a Motorcraft/Fomoco distributor in your pic, so going back to the Accuspark list there is only one Motorcraft distributor listed for your model/year. What more help do you need?
garm 0 Posted March 8, 2016 I thought it would be too. So when I clicked on the "obvious" one for 1967 (Cortina Mk2 1500), and add to basket it says "kit 21 Motorcraft for Cross Flow". But it's not a crossflow.
