Looks like you'll have a lovely car at the end of the resto, a great base to start from :)

Keep us all updated with the progress.

I've started collecting parts for the resto, Danish is holding the o/s panel for me  so I'm hoping to hear back with regards to the welding etc but

so far none of the firms have come back.

I guess it's time for some sort of an update, although not much has changed with the car itself. it is hopefully due to go to Dr Mig late August. So far all I've been doing is collecting parts, but I have managed to paint the heater and start the wood capping.

The old lacquer has started to peel away and despite my best efforts just to strip the old lacquer off, I did find I sanded through some parts of the original veneer. I found Nitromors about as much use as an ash tray on a bike.

So I purchased 5 strips of veneer cut consecutively so I hopefully get a mirror image on the door cappings.

These are the rear doors, the top one has had a couple of coats of lacquer, the dash should keep me quiet for a while. :)

Looks like a great job, best way to remove old laquer is to use a heat gun and a scaper, it just peels off
