mk4ste 43 Posted May 20, 2016 Hello peeps I remember this from years ago, my car leans to the drivers side when looked at front the rear. I did swap the springs round to see if that helped ,nope! Still does it .So I have a few plans Fit one estate rear spring on the drivers side Fit gas assisted shocks Fit one of those rubber spring assisters Anyone solved this on there own car ? I have had this problem Tony, i tried all the things you mention none worked it turned out to be a bent subframe, we changed it and car now sits perfect. markymarkthree 160 Posted May 21, 2016 You could try one of these. CLICK ME PLEASE Also I have one new gen Ford spring or a pair of very low millage -1" springs. Both of which I can take to the Yat. Have you also considered moving your handbag to the passenger side. :juggle:
TIB3300 388 Posted May 23, 2016 There has most likely been some balast sat on the drivers side a fair while what orientation are the front subrame bushes in as one of them is off center Sorry Andy please explain :headscratch:
TIB3300 388 Posted May 23, 2016 (edited) get somebody fat to sit on the other side  Or get out Tony :sofa: I had this problem and was easily cured by purchasing some bathroom scales and a diet book... ;) were they heavy enough to use as counter balance? I must thank you all, for your input Edited May 23, 2016 by TIB3300

I cant see Any damage to either the chassis or the cross member ?

Captain Scarlet 84 Posted May 23, 2016 what orientation are the front subrame bushes in as one of them is off center Yep,i found driver side upper on mine had rotated and contributed to it being lower one side.
littlenewt2067 33 Posted May 23, 2016 The subframe bushes are off set tony and they have a tab that comes out at a right angle and goes into a hole in the chassis, that is what Andy was referring to

martog 128 Posted May 24, 2016 I cant see Any damage to either the chassis or the cross member ? I think if you have a bent frame it will be a struggle to bolt it to the car. Ste's was. Must admit in all my years of messing with them this was the first one i've seen. Funnily enough a customer was in at the time and he said he's changed a few due to kerb damage. They must have been fairly rammed up kerbs to bend 'em like that.
