Alternator Cut in Revs

That is how my charge light is on my MK5. Rev it up to 1700rpm before it goes out, every time I start it.

It's putting out 14.13 volts.

The bearings are a bit noisy though.

It will be a good alternator when I fit the new bearings. I got them today. 😎

 

It has an issue needing 1700 rpm to start charging isn't right, personly i'd fix the charge issue rather than waist new bearings on it but if your happy with it? i usually just fit a later sierra alt with more output. thumbsup.gif

+1 for using the later (in my case A127) type alternator
