well that´s a hard decision. though a MK1 Estate is a very nice and versatile car, the 1600E is more lively and luxurious.

i´d have a look at both and buy the more genuine/better condition car - good luck!

thats going to be the estate then I reckon

trouble is you have had an E in the past nothing else is really going to better it for driving

Very difficult choice, as I like both. If the Mk1 estate is in better condition overall and needs no work I would be inclined to have that one

It depends on whether you want a rolling resto' or not ? I've a feeling that this particular "E" falls into that category ... :wine:

An estate is always a good choice if you do a lot of shows and camping.

had a look at 1600xle and when the guy said a few paint work issues he wasn't kidding.he called it micro blistering I call it rust, rotten around base of c pillars, side panel of rear wing peppard with large blisters, roof pitted here and there, front wings not so good either.well worth saving not to much work for some guys on here but to much for me to do,also a bit pricey at nearly £6750 considering condition.couldnt get to see estate last weekend so trying to get there Thursday if poss.i will keep you posted as to how I get on.
