stevewes 16 Posted November 25, 2016 I remember years ago I started filling a petrol car with diesel - barely got a litre in before I realised my mistake to decided to brim the tank with petrol to dilute the diesel as much as possible - I'll swear that car ran better than it ever had before afterwards

bortaf 92 Posted November 25, 2016 I have gallons of "missfuel" at the yard, currently just over half a barrel of it, i use it to thin down used cooking oil when i put it in me 106, i do probably 2 missfuels a month, happens a lot one bloke is a regular (3 times this year but his skoda seems to shrug it off) in moderns you can only put petrol in a diesel tank so it's usually more petrol than diesel but as said it does do a good job of cleaning out egr crud from inlet manifolds on modern TDs, every cloud and all that, at least the carb will be well lubed internaly
