Worst comes to the worst, engine fooked you rip it out and fit another one. Don't forget you still have that bottom end here and i have pinto gasket sets coming out of my ears!!!

We are rebuilding Dave's crossflow at the minute and that keeps throwing up problems. We'll get there though.

I bet he's choked on his cake

I have done it twice , first time many years ago the diesel pump and petrol pump pipes were both black , went about 20 years before I did it again.

It happens everyones done it , though some wont admit it.

Luckily wasnt eating cake when I read your admission

I remember years ago I started filling a petrol car with diesel - barely got a litre in before I realised my mistake to decided to brim the tank with petrol to dilute the diesel as much as possible - I'll swear that car ran better than it ever had before afterwards

My first time a Mazda B series diesel pick-up ended up running on 40% petrol 60% diesel - ran ok , then topped up with diesel again to get it to about 80/20 and it went faster thn it had ever done before , was always tempted to put a bit of petrol in after that but never dared

I have gallons of "missfuel" at the yard, currently just over half a barrel of it, i use it to thin down used cooking oil when i put it in me 106, i do probably 2 missfuels a month, happens a lot thumbsup.gif one bloke is a regular (3 times this year but his skoda seems to shrug it off) in moderns you can only put petrol in a diesel tank so it's usually more petrol than diesel but as said it does do a good job of cleaning out egr crud from inlet manifolds on modern TDs, every cloud and all that, at least the carb will be well lubed internaly wink.gif
