The Moose MK5 1.6L once owned by Bortaf will be saved!!

As luck would have it . I won the 1.6L MK5 AKA 'The Moose' ( once owned by Bortaf) the other day in a raffle.

Granted it is a rolling shell but it is a very good one. I have every intention in getting it roadworthy for 2017!

I was part way through converting my Gold mk5 1.6GL to a Zetec ,so I will swap it over to the moose.

From what I'm hearing too it may have been very good timing - apparently some sort of Gambling Commission are investigating these kind of listings as they technically break the law! I don't know any more than a mate on a FB group who says they've had all theirs pulled.

Really? Wow. I think you are right about the timing. There have been loads on facebook recently. The chap I'm getting the car from said 80% of the people in the raffle were banger racers. Had anybody else won the car it would have met a banger racing end . What a shame that would have been.

I seem to remember something about this before, it's considered a lottery, or something, that's why you'd see those adverts on TV where they'd be a question and three possible answers (two being quite obviously wrong) so you'd phone through with answer A B or C and that way it was a competition which to be called so satisfies some requirement of 'skill' to win.

They could possibly get away with these sorts of things on FB by asking for you to pay £x per answer. But I'm not 100% on that one.

Thanks for this one. I struggled to fit my rear loom - but I can see now that my modified loom is about twice the size of the original.

 

The sills look to be in excellent condition?
