A little up on old Moosey. Thank you Craig for sorting me out with some wiper arms. Top man!! After waiting for the screen man I got fed up so decided to be brave and tackle the front and rear screen myself. Iv'e never done the job before so am very pleased with the result.

I have now got the c pillar trims, parcel shelf and rear seat now fitted.

Next on my list is that rear valance and the seatbelt mount.

I'm looking very much forward to Cortina day for a chill out , laugh and maybe a beer or two.

Cheers, Andy.

As a tribute to my friend Craig Mire Cooke I fitted his badge he made for me to my grill on the moose. Craig was a young very bright member of the Cortina Fanatics. He had started making stainless steel bumpers and other items. In 2018 he made the stainless Ford badges for Cortina day. Sadly we lost him too early. RIP.

You've done well there mate getting all that work done in a short time

I like the grille badge. I remember the bumpers being produced in stainless a few years back. I didn't know Craig but I know he passed away far too early. It's very sad and life is so unfair sometimes. The grille badge is a nice tribute.

Well done with the screens. I've done mine a couple of times due to leaks but it's been a good 10 years now. I used those suction glass lifters on the inside of the glass with the screen laid on the bonnet then stood in the car through the aperture and lifted the glass into place. Not fun on your own and the way I did it seemed like the best way for me. Did you use a sealant of any kind of the rubber ?

no I didn’t use any sealant on the rubber. I’ll probably regret that decision when it rains 🤣🤣. Less then a week till the yat now.

You may do. I did.

I fitted a new rubber thinking that's it, new rubber, no leaks. Went to Cortina day one year, 2010 maybe. Rained all the way there on the Friday then All night rain, following morning absolutely soaked inside. Had to go home and park it back in the garage. I did return in my van but ruined the weekend somewhat.

I used a non setting sealant like they use on caravans and it's been fine since.

Can't remember the exact year that was but the field was like a mud bath. Never seen it so bad, we had some serious rain.

I managed to get the door mouldings fitted today. Thanks to Dale Love for the mounting clips. You can’t get them anywhere.

also got the rear valance fitted and primed. Needs some fettling but it’s on. Only a few days left now.
