M5Greg 83 Posted January 28, 2017 I did have a used kit but can't find it anywhere, if it does turn up in the Black Hole that I must have in the loft I will let you know. The fitting instructions cover a few different models if let me know the exact one you want I'll post up the one you need. Greg
RichardJ 59 Posted January 28, 2017 Cheers, Any model really - I just want to see how the official ones fit, so I can try and improvise something that looks similar.
madanorak 0 Posted January 29, 2017 Seen an Aussie MK2 with no heater fitted. Heaterbox had no matrix, and there was only a control to direct fresh air either to the screen, footwell, or Off. it didn't have a glovebox either. I suppose this isn't an extra, rather a less!! Not Cortina, but worth a mention, I know on XR2s, not sure about other Fiestas, you could order climate control for a fee, this consisted of tinted glass, and opening quarterlights
Danish 294 Posted January 29, 2017 also it had an lpg conversion but im sure it was retro fitted According to the Haynes manual, some engines were builtin the factory for LPG and unleaded, and have code 'A' on the head where you'd normally be looking for the P/R unleaded code. M5Greg 83 Posted January 29, 2017 On the Cortina/Taunus microfiche there is a steel sump guard kit listed and the cruise control kit listed, I've only ever seen the cruise kit on one car that was fitted from new.
Danish 294 Posted January 29, 2017 On the Cortina/Taunus microfiche there is a steel sump guard kit listed Yes, one came up for sale on here a while back, and there are some fibre/plastic type ones around too. I have a photo of the metal one, one day I'll get a copy fabricated. Alloy maybe, or maybe it could be moulded in Kevlar :headscratch:

Hadn't realised it wasn't a common item. Now I'm going to take a look when I'm next in the garage!

M5Greg 83 Posted January 29, 2017 How about the optional alloy wheels that were the same as the XR3i poached egg style but I think 13in instead of the 14in XR3i ones, I've only ever seen a picture of them on a Taunus.
