tornado 2 Posted January 17, 2017 Can u fit a s2 windscreen in a s1 mk2 with a s2 windscreen rubber, i do remember years ago having trouble with them i no people say when selling the windscreen rubbers they say it fits all models is this true as my s1 wind screen is not the same size as a s2. MLI 8 Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Beware some of the new repro Chinese mk2 windscreens about, they are too big (I just about managed to manhandle one in on my 1969 mk2 using the East Kent rubber, but it took 3 of us and several hours of brute force, swearing, sweat and tears...) One of our Norwegian Cortina Club members gave up, and went to his local glass guy, think they cut off 5-10mm... There used to be 2 different rubbers (s1 and s2) years ago, but I believe you can only get the s2 rubber these days. I have one in my S2 & although a bit tight, it went in. I know they've had some bad press round these parts & I only got one because you couldn't get one anywhere else at the time.
