fiestachaser 7 Posted February 25, 2017 Hi all, I'm posting this for my dad as his account still hasn't been validated, His car is a 1965 mk1 Cortina, He has owned this car for over 25 years so I can always remember this car being around and my earliest memories of working on cars were on this very car. The car itself started life as a 1200 auto deluxe , after sitting in a garage for 10 years my dad bought it, since then it has had a few changes made , it now runs a 1500 gt pre crossflow engine with a high lift cam and a manual box. It has been lowered two inches all round and sitting on genuine lotus steels. It has a stamped main dealer service history to 48,000 miles and now has 57k on the clock. Never been welded other than top plates some 20 years ago.

Pete-H 66 Posted February 25, 2017 Very nice Car Who put the dents in the bonnet?
fiestachaser 7 Posted February 27, 2017 Hi, When i bought the car the widow of the owner used to stack all her garden tools and chairs on top of the car! Thus the dented bonnet. Keep on popping the dents out and as soon as the temperature changes they dent again. Bonnet is mint no rust so have lived with the dents......i'm told its patina! Pete-H 66 Posted February 28, 2017 Well that's a pity about the bonnet but livable it add some patina a very nice car.
