Mk1 Cortina Radiator Recon....where?

Hi Guys,

 

I live in Hampshire and ive got an original big header mk1 cortina radiator which needs fully reconditioning.

 

Where are mk1 cortina owners going get the best job at a reasonable price these days?

There's a place in Hilsea, Portsmouth that are spot on apparently. Not used them personally but a few of the lads round here have and rate him highly.

 

He's a proper old school type one man band affair, no website or facebook etc.

 

I think it's Collins Radiators, but will find out for sure and update this.

Herts radiators near Hertford.I'd recommend them everytime.

The guy really knows his stuff and can build you standard core or more cores in original frame.

I used a place in Tonbridge Wells some years ago. Difficult to find but did a good job. Just need to remember the name.

Thanks for all the suggestions but I have someone local to me called Bagshot Radiator Services and he operates down the road from me. He said 180+VAT to completely refurb and re core the radiator.

that sounds a bargain, over here prices have gone through the roof. i recently had an offer for an Alfa Duetto rad + heater rad, eur 700,00 (black cash :sofa: )
