the-ford-cortina.com 226 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted 20 August 2015 - 03:56 AM The general rule of thumb is at the reg box, all the thick wires you join together and there are usually two thin wires join those two to each other. The earth wire is not needed as you are not using the reg box, so tape it up/cut it off. The alternator has its own regulator so the original box is now redundant.
