Door cards.Mk.1

Recommended Posts

Hi Gang.

I am about to fit new door cards to my 1965 Mk.1 Tina 4 door..

Looking at the holes in the doors they are 2 different sizes.

Some are 1/4" and some are 5/16".

Now this presents a problem in so far as the nylon plugs are made

for the 5/16" hole.

Has anyone any idea why this is??

Regards Mouse..

I think with the smaller holes you just use the metal clips. The bigger holes use the plastic clips

Daft question - is it the same holes on all doors as they may have been drilled out? :headscratch:

My 65 car has all holes the same size.

8mm is the hole size when the plastic insert is removed.

Hi,Thank's for that my man.

The majority of mine are 8 mm and the ones that are smaller are at back of the doors.

Regards Mouse.
