Not sure if series 2 cars had twin tone horns - pretty sure that although they were original standard item on series 1 cars, they were deleted for series 2 (presumably saving all of 8 shillings per car!) - an optional extra perhaps?

could well be? over here also S2 cars had 2-tone horn

Could well have been - there were definitely things that were standard on non-GB motors that didnt appear as standard on GB cars e.g. servo. Twin horns could be the same.

yep, actually strange, as England was a much higher developed country. when i first came over in 1978, i remember many things we didn t have in Austria, like music videos on TV for example. and of course most cars had a powerful engine and high trim level.
