MK1 GT head

would you scrap this or can it be repaired at reasonable costs. what do you think?

I would say not repairable. Cracks can be stitch welded. But this looks way beyond that....

May be worth resecuring the broken piece by drilling and tapping 2 or 3 holes to take M4 countersunk screws.

GT heads are getting pretty rare!

I've got a genuine escort rs2000 manifold with a T3 flange welded to it so welding cast iron can be done (never done it). I think they usually say preheat and allow to cool slowly after welding, you can fit small studs and fill up between studs with weld, prob have to use an arc welder & maybe you would have to do away with the cracked bit and weld the whole area up then drill and tap a new hole. Looks like you don't have much to lose.
