Essex V6 Conversion Package for Mk3 (or 4/5)

Recommended Posts

Having finally talked myself into fitting a V8 the following will be available within the next month or so.

Basically the complete package ready to drop in, nothing needs cutting or welding - it literally is plug and play. The conversion was done to a good standard (if I say so myself) compared to some of the shonky efforts I've seen over the years. The engine sits low down and as far back as is possible.

The only bit not included in the exhaust, I can include a two into one system that follows the standard cars original exhaust path but you would have to make a section to bridge the exhaust to the manifold, which would probably be an hours work at an exhaust place.

Can be heard running, and test driven if you wish.

I'm looking for £2,000 for everything as a package, to find all the parts in one place, in this condition, with all the guess work removed more than justifies the asking price.

Yup, Carbed 4.6 - the essex is a nice engine, but you get used to the power and they are expensive to tune.

The silicon hoses are just angles with alloy joiners. I tried the Capri hoses first, they are similar but not quite right.

Joes 4.6 rv8 is quick. First it was a 3.5 then he put the 4.6 in and there was a big difference in performance, if you wanted to reach something on the dash you couldn't as the inertia shoves you into the seat when accelerating.

If I wasn't going pinto turbo I'd have been interested in this set up. Good luck with the swap.
