XR6 3 Posted February 1, 2018 I just brought a Vauxhall combo van for work and it needs a set of brake disc so can anybody recommend a decent manufacture . I've seen various types on e-bay but I don't fancy buying some cheap Chinese make made of tinfoil .

martog 149 Posted February 1, 2018 I work at a Motor Factor shop and we sell Brakefit discs and Apec pads / shoes all day long with zero problems from our customers. My own Combo van whizzmobile i use to deliver parts to customers is fitted with the above bits and more than 8000 miles later are still spot on. Hope this helps. XR6 3 Posted February 3, 2018 Thanks for the reply guys . In the end I brought a set of Nationals from Direct car parts in Uxbridge the guy there said they are a good quality make . This morning I fitted them myself and took less than hour and very straight forward to fit. Well I say I fitted them but I only done the o/s which was the one that was warped . Question ; do I need to do both side ? and I notice the the new disc are slightly smaller than the old ones 10mm or so. We this effect anything later on as it drives and stops with no problem at the moment . The size differ I quest with the pay loads of the vehicle in which I will not be carry anything too heavy. dgo 80 Posted February 3, 2018 Definitely should do both sides and they shouldn't be a different size

martog 149 Posted February 5, 2018 Deffo change the parts for correct size and fit in pairs! Problem now is they may not take the parts back as they have been fitted. We go to great lengths in ensuring parts we supply are correct and will even supply all the options available to ensure that at least one set of parts will fit the vehicle. Use what you need then we will credit you back on the parts that are incorrect. We do this system to the man in the street as well as the garages.
