Adam McC 6 Posted March 21, 2018 Probably a bit of a newbie questions here but anything to look out for with modern batteries and the older motors? I think my current battery is on it's way out and MOT is next week so don't want to be stuck in the test centre, pretty sure that's a fail! (my screen washer pump just gave in the ghost as well so there's that to fix!) Anyway just looking at the number on the current battery I can't find an exact match, I'm assuming an exact isn't necessary but again just playing safe. Also the terminals are the bolt style not the rounded style and all new batteries seem to have the rounded connectors so need to convert the leads to those. Essentially just wondering what other folks use, sealed or standard, and anything else I need to look out for?
kenbex522 34 Posted March 21, 2018 I've have ordered batteries from these in the past when i cant get specific batteries from local suppliers. They do your 097 battery. https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/powerline/097/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo7vAtrn92QIVhLDtCh0_OgxSEAQYBSABEgJNYfD_BwE
markymarkthree 178 Posted March 21, 2018 Not sure about NI but over here you can generally get your battery supplier to order in a 097 or a 095 with the correct square terminals (T4F). If you go for round terminals a 075 or 075T will more than do the job. :)
