johnny boy 159 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) I got a bit bored with the tedious wiring 🙄 So I took the differential out this afternoon. I can take it into work next week and strip, clean, inspect it, and build it back up with the torque baising LSD in my lunch break. The diff turned out to be a 3.9 , which it should have been. johnny boy 159 Posted February 18, 2020 I striped the diff down lunchtime, the bearings and diff pinion and crown wheel look in very good condition. I'm not striping the pinion down, so I just needed to remove the bearings and swap them over to the new diff centre. I was unable to remove the bearings without damaging them, so I have had to order some more from a local bearing supplier. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
johnny boy 159 Posted February 21, 2020 Today I built up the new diff centre, and set up the back lash and pre load on the centre. I replaced the pinion seal, and checked the pinion bearings were ok. I also checked the mesh between the pinion and crown wheel, all ok. Just got to fit a drain bung with a strong magnet to the rear axle. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
