Johnnys 1965 Mk1 Cortina 2 door build

Recommended Posts

On my Corsair when I ran an EFi Pinto I fitted a 15 mm dia pipe to the very bottom of the tank with a Bosch 044 pump mounted at the same level. No swirl pot and never had any problems in 12 years of running even down to about 1 gallon. Now running a V4 with throttle body just the same no troubles

Sounds good, I'm probably not going to do much else than put it back together this year.

So running 40 dcoe's 👌

Genuine ford finish fitment sump guard test fit.

I wasn't sure it would work with the Alan Dent rack crossmember , but it did 😁

I decided to paint the sump guard , period silver Hammerrite hammer finnish.

I haven't used that for 30 plus years 😳

The tin is that old too, and does not appear to be very hammered looking , but perhaps that happens later🙄

Another little job done , I wasn't very happy with the way I fitted the fuel filter , the first time , so redone that.

Yesterday and today ,I've been putting the new headlong in.I have put some Dacron on the roof to help with sound deadening.

The rods needed sanding to allow them though the loops, and the loops themselves needed cutting down from 46 inches to 42 , as the originals.

The back part is up and glued , I'll let that go off today , and do the front tomorrow.🙂

While the headlining is going off , I'm going to look at recovering the aero flow vents at the back, with the extra material supplied with the headlining.
