Johnnys 1965 Mk1 Cortina 2 door build

Recommended Posts

Its got 1 degree neg camber without the engine weight , so I'm expecting a bit more with the engine in place , and will need adjusting back the 1 degree neg.

Crossmember is a bolt in on original pick up points .

Yes super heater valve is going , for a compact one .

I managed a bit more time today, and started the LHD to RHD conversation today, also converting to duel circuit brakes.

I'm looking for a RHD behind dash wiring loom, and a RHD throttle pedal,if anyone has them for sale.

Nice choice on the girling master cylinder. Reservoir looks just like my mk 2. What bore size is this cylinder?

Normally 5/8" for the clutch master cylinder.

Dave - the reservoir is the same and Britpart do just the reservoir if you need a fresh one ( Britpart being Land Rover parts dealer ) Steve

I had the morning in the barn today, and managed a bit more 😀

I started making up the gearbox crossmember, as I'm doing an engine a box dry fit.

I only had enough material to fab up one side, need to get some more next week, bit of a ass really , as I wanted to complete it 😬

That's neat, shame it's going to be hidden underneath.

But I will know it's there 😁
