For Sale Crossflow 1600GT Engine And 1500 Gear box

I will be shortly removing the engine and gearbox from my Mk1 Cortina.

I'm not 100% sure the engine is a GT or whether it just has the Carb and exhaust fitted to a standard 1600HC Crossflow.

Maybe someone can tell me how to identify it.

The engine runs very well, and the 1500 gearbox is quiet and has good synchro's

If any anyone is interested in these, they are still in the car ,and can be tested before I remove them.

What casting number is the blick 711M or 681 and what you looking for just for the engine

Hi,

I will have a look at the block cast number.

As for price, I want as much money as possible , as the sale of the parts has to fund the project.

It will most likley be advertised on ebay , as thats where a fair price will be attained, as things make the going rate.

But by all means make me an offer.

The good thing is its still in the car , and can be driven.

The Idea was that if anyone on here was interested in running the engine and gearbox before it came out of the car , they could.

If no body on here is interested in checking them out before they go on eBay , that's fine, but I thought I'd give people the heads up.
