Steve Walton 130 Posted October 26, 2018 The floor mat is from Sedgefield Motor Co. Did you get it from there? Sedgefield is only 15 miles from me. Or is the floor mat just display in a man cave?
V6Ghia 37 Posted October 26, 2018 It was at Sedgefield, apparently the garage is being knocked down to build houses on☹️ I look forward to seeing this arrive in Wales to reside with some newer Cortina’s, it may need a bit of a polish.
consul315 180 Posted October 27, 2018 so you are the lucky new owner then?  seems to be a great car, what´s your plans with it?
V6Ghia 37 Posted October 27, 2018 Hi Hans, yes I have been thinking of buying an early mk1 4 door Super for a while and prices seem to be going very high so when this came up at a reasonable price in the right colour and spec. I decided it seemed too good an opportunity to miss. Depending on what the condition is I may try and get it on the road with minimal work. Then a full restoration to Carry on Cabbie spec. in the future when work on my garages and house is completed. Just a series 2 1600E to buy now in light orchid or blue mink to complete my collection of Cortina’s This is the first old car I have bought as all my other cars are younger than me
consul315 180 Posted October 27, 2018 thx for the fast answer, your plan sounds very good! hope you post pics when you get it, as it seems to be an unmolested car and as you already said, price sounded very reasonable for such a rare car! good luck with it!
the-ford-cortina.com 226 Posted October 27, 2018 I may try and get it on the road with minimal work I dont think it will work out like that to be honest Its not a total rot box but imo it will need a fair bit of work.

Not so much where I live but higher up at least 25mm to 40mm but didn't stay to long.
