Sorpion 1 Posted October 30, 2018 Hi Cortina fans, got mine 2door beauty just recently (2.0GT, manual). Its a rusty bucket so needs a lot of work but there is still a lot to weld into. Im not a mechanic myself so waiting with a quotation to bring it to prestine condition. From what I noticed its pretty rare model, feeling kinda lucky. Greatings from Ireland.
RichardJ 59 Posted October 30, 2018 Nice car - you can't beat a PFL 2 door GT  Is it a '72 model? What sort of restoration "level" are you looking to go for, full concourse?

FKLGLS 44 Posted October 30, 2018 Welcome. That’s a very desirable car you have there. One similar to that covered on another thread on this site advertised for £20k.
Danish 294 Posted October 30, 2018 A bit rusty, but definitely worth repairing as a PFL 2-door GT is one of the most desirable models.
markymarkthree 178 Posted October 30, 2018 Wow! looks like you have a job on your hand there but it will be well worth it. You may wish to consider joining the Cortina MK3 Club as they are in the process of getting some new scuttle panels made. If I decide to restore it I'd like to do proper one, body sanded, welded and painted. If not I'll put on sale and focus on smaller project, all depends on my mechanic and guy who is doing bodywork. Im also busy man so dont know yet, if I'll have a time to take care of that beauty. Welcome. That’s a very desirable car you have there. Same color, love that brown :)

Yeah, plenty of work. I already have sills and rear arches, but I would be interested in under the window panel couse mine is in bits, do they have the website? Paul B 22 Posted October 30, 2018 I'm also in Ireland and also with a 2-door GT. Mine is facelift model though, not PRE-facelift. My preference but not everyone's. That's copper brown. Same colour as my old estate. I must dig out some photos of that old girl. Good luck with the restoration. Looks like a pretty big job, but will be worth it. Please keep the original colour, it'll look great.

Colour must be the same, I don't know if there is any better one ;)

Deano66 249 Posted October 30, 2018 Nice car mate, will be a great car if restored, but there is a lot of work to do that can be seen, there is also a lot of work you can't see, behind the outer panels,if you go for it then good luck,it will be worth it !!
