Nice car mate,will be a great car if restored,but there is a lot of work to do that can be seen,there is also a lot of work you can't see, behind the outer panels,if you go for it then good luck,it will be worth it !!

 

This is my biggest fear, the unseen rust spots.

I remember driving for Mk1 Ford Capri more than 200km one day, just to see it passing me by 2km from the destination with the happy new owner (seller ensured me 5 times I can come to see it and that the car will be waiting for me).

It's a shame, but it's better you put your hands up and step away now, rather than start work on it and find yourself in well over your head.
I'm sure you'll have no problem selling a 2-door shell.

Looks like it has lots of the original features that get binned over the years - tombstone seats, boot floor coverings etc

Quite rusty but love the look of that one...nice and straight,  GT and all there...well most of it. Fair bit of work be worth it in the end. hope someone restores it.

£3k, it fetched a good price considering the work it needs. The Cortina MK3 club are having reproduction scuttle panels made available to club members for anyone taking this project on.
