Smithaam 9 Posted January 22, 2019 I need to have a prop made up for my P100. I have the gearbox end but I need the flange to fix onto diff. Can someone confirm what prop flange would fit? Cheers

Smithaam 9 Posted January 22, 2019 I guess i could check my mk3 and see if its the same, just under the impression its different!
sheffieldcortinacentre 747 Posted January 22, 2019 Normal MK3/4/5 fits to best of my knowledge.
Smithaam 9 Posted January 26, 2019 I managed to pick up a propshaft off a mk4 cortina, not sure what engine it was out of but unfortunately it don't fit, center fits in but the bolt holes are further spread out! Any ideas what might fit??
kenbex522 34 Posted January 26, 2019 Only three Ford flanges as far as i know: 88mm dia Anglia size, 92mm dia Corsair and some mk1/2 Cortinas and 108mm with threaded holes which is all later Fords. That looks like the 92 one to me. What axle/diff is it ?

Ok cheers for that, once i get down and measure it i think its more like 88 than 92 but will check again. just seems odd they would use the Anglia diff flange on a cortina pick up! I believe the axle is the kolin but not sure on the diff. I though it was all standerd stuff but the truck has been messed with a lot over the years so it could have changed! Beowulf 87 Posted January 27, 2019 The axle is bespoke to the Cortina P100. Funny how a standard cortina prop won't fit though. Think the axle is an updated atlas. Craig will know for certain.
Smithaam 9 Posted January 27, 2019 I have 2 more props to try (just need to go and pick up) this week, one is off an Anglia so will see how i get on. I will try get some photos of the axle and post up this week and see if its the standard one!
Tigdlo 27 Posted January 27, 2019 I’d always thought that the axle and diff were from the Ford Transit, which in turn, derived from the Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac. But I could be completely wrong!
sheffieldcortinacentre 747 Posted January 27, 2019 (edited) Sierra p100 is transit based, Cortina p100 is a Borg Warner axle. Measured it at 77mm diagonal centre s. Cars are 92. Edited January 27, 2019 by sheffieldcortinacentre
Smithaam 9 Posted January 28, 2019 Some more pictures of the axle! could not find any marking or names on it but it could do with a clean up.
sheffieldcortinacentre 747 Posted January 28, 2019 That's a Cortina p100 axle my measurements were diagonal.
