vv carb wanted

hi there.

 

not sure if they are different or not but i have a feeling they might be maybe someone might know for sure. how much out of interest?

All same only real difference is manual or automatic choke.

I think from memory there is a coloured  disc that fits next to the diaphram on the side,a different colour  for different engine sizes.

I think the wrong colour caused tickover or running faults, i may be wrong,as it was a very long time ago,but i seem to remember 

getting a kit from the dealer & it had different coloured discs in.

that's interesting to know. i'll have to check the many i have to see if they are the same :)

I think there are four screws holding the cover on & it is a coloured ring,not a disc.

ah i think i got ya now it's a diaphram for something !! i think mine are blue but i could be wrong lol

I think it's M,but like i said,it was a long time ago.

You can see the diaphram in the middle with the coloured discs.

it´s quite a long time i ran a MK3 Taunus with a VV carb, but if i remember correct it was 2 very little bores at the acc pump that "closed" and therefore caused troubles. ones the carb is serviced properly it´s not as bad as it´s reputation.

don't seem to be able to find anyone to service them that is also a problem

another problem i now have is my welder just broke 😞
