Flexible fuel hose spec?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Could someone please remind me what gauge hose I need for replacing the short length of flexible hose into the fuel tank sender and at the engine end? I think the two pipes of the sender are slightly different widths? I couldn't find anywhere on here that said the gauge. Thanks.

I'll be sure to get one that's E10 compatible.

I "think" the feed is 8mm and return is 6mm (inside diameter), I can check properly this evening.   Maybe someone can confirm ?

I've just replaced mine at engine end......I'm assuming they'll be the same at the tank??

Will go out and confirm sizes now.

Don’t forget those between the front subframe and chassis (in o/s wheel arch).

While you're doing this it's worthwhile making sure you fit "ethanol-proof" hose

Yes, definitely dgo - thanks. That's one of the reasons for replacing them, the other being that the fuel sender's leaking (again) and the hoses at that end looked a bit threadbare when I went underneath.

Tigdlo - thanks, I hadn't clocked those short pieces, I'll do those too.
