coming back...........................

So vibration update, as someone told me on here, it could be the engine mounts, well I went through my eBay history, I bought uprated mounts, I've since changed to softer ones, from France of all places, had cut away pictures of the thread seperate with rubber in-between, I suspect the uprated thread goes all the way through, anyway , it's like a different car, vibration gone.

Also done some bodywork, rust on the seam at the back is a bad trap, cut out welded new section in, skim of fibreglass , then filled , lucky me had some paint left from respray years ago now

Ok this is random as funk, remember I posted about fitting my new fuel sender , well I smelt fuel, I looked underneath, seen it was from the sender I took off and saw four holes, I thought I'm sure they wasn't there, so after looking at the pics you can see they wasn't, ignore black paint it's the same sender, but I think it's been drilled ! What's your thoughts, I'm totally stunned, I do have an ex wife, and some guy knocked my door asking if I would sell, these are the only things I can think off, please what's your thoughts?

Those look drilled , have you fitted a seal?

I wonder if someone has modified that to be bolted in?

Craig no, that's my point , some runts been at it, if you look at the pics you can see they've been drilled , just seems very odd , I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't got pics to prove , yes new seal fitted, my neighbours got a ring doorbell so I'm going to dig about a bit

Craig your right, if I hadn't had pics when I fitted , I wouldn't have believed it myself, and they didn't drill through into the tank!? Just the sender, I still don't quite believe it , like you say what a lot of trouble, when you could just key it or drill the tank, does not make sense, the only possible thing I can think is being low down out of sight to any cameras

Holes were always there. You can see one in the first pic. The other 3 are covered by the label , the pipe and behind the rim because of the angle of the pic.

Found this pic I took before fitting, yes semi pre drilled! I have no idea why as MK3 is twist type, and they definitely wasn't fully drilled through when fitted , I've emailed the seller for a refund, cost me £150

Least now I know it wasn't a crime scene 😁 got me well paranoid 🤣
