MikeC 7 Posted August 1, 2020 How reliable is the website called "how many left"? I have had a look and it says there are only 7 mk2 Gt's on record, this cannot be right. What do you think I know the website is supposed to include sorn cars as well.
D-FENS 74 Posted August 1, 2020 Any bits of info on that site have all said that site is a waste of time .
chelseablue 17 Posted August 1, 2020 Problem is, the data comes from the DVLA, and this is not always accurate, eg, I have a MK1 GT, but the V5 only says Cortina 1498, this happens all the time, I would take the info from that site with a pinch of salt👍
sheffieldcortinacentre 529 Posted August 1, 2020 Yep useless ,alot of cars aren't described properly on logbooks so won't be included. Don't know what others say but my bakkie just says Cortina, body type pickup. Had a MK3 1.6 base 2dr that just said ford, body type 2 axle rigid body.the same as my American ford F-350 pickup! My facelift MK3 4 Dr GT said just that & I think one of my 2dr GT's say so think the other just says Cortina GT. Had an early 2000E EST that said GXL estate. My falcon Ute is schizophrenic due to not being able to be registered when sold new in the UK as a ford falcon (as they aren't type approved by ford forsale new outside Australia or south Africa) the company selling them had to use a non regd name so used verte tempest. Logbook just says verte no model name, vosa at mot time say it's a ford verte tempest falcon, my insurance company say it's a ford falcon confused? You will be. It Carry's two sets of I'd plates one ford of Australia the other verte ltd!
Neil. 96 Posted August 1, 2020 search for cortina savage, it doesn't give anything. Not sure how it calculates the mark either, as I can't think that any log book says mk2 unless there is a fiddle factor for the year?
Beeper 60 Posted August 6, 2020 We tried it on the Mk1 Fiesta site a while back and it came up with some ridiculously low number which was probably less than the members count on that site! It's about as accurate as Stevie Wonder playing darts!
