usually French cars had orange reversing lights, but to my knowledge the MK3 was never officially sold in France, that´s why i wondered!

afaik in France (orange or yellow reversing lights common) and Italy (white rev lights common)  the MK3 was never officially sold (they had to deal with the German crap at that time).

But the Germans had the Taunus with a totally different rear light assembly so where would they get the Cortina lights from? Curious, as Mr Spock would say.
