Yes.

Talking of dashes, i've just refurbed a wooden 2000E / Ghia dash facia. In Indian Rosewood dye then three coats of Ronsons yacht varnish. It has done just that and vanished in to the wood. Its shiny, though doesn't have the "glass" effect.

Cheers, going to try and get the dash back together tomorrow if I get permission.  Any photos of your wooden dash? :)

Here you go fella.

You'll notice that the glove box lid and passenger air vent surround are a bit darker than the dash facia possibly because all the parts here have come from different cars. Last photo shows the shine but they don't have the smooth "glass" effect that you get from the factory.

That looks a nice colour! Top work

Got my dash in today and I can see the intruments and the heater control (now the bulb isn't floating around in the back of the dash!)

Yep and it doesn't work with the LEDs! They are about the right brightness for me (luckily!) so I can live without it :)

No worries.

A nice upgrade would be an E instrument cluster with the rev counter and fuel / water gauges in the middle. I think its possible by swapping the pins in the plugs.  :headscratch:

I fancy the RS 2000 style dash binnacle. The one with the three gauges in the middle and all important RS high beam warning light.

These are mega money now, and back in the day I had a set. Probably sold them for a packet of fags or gave them away or something.

I'm not!  Car is side by side in garage with other car so can't open the doors and there's about 2 tons of wood in front of the garage....so until the wood's moved, things stay put !
