Neil. 96 Posted June 27, 2021 Just come across the 2021 Practical Classic price guide https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5d31c18a98e9ae0001ecd934/t/5fb4f08311f8333f7cd338a2/1605693576498/IPAD+Price+Guide+January+2021.pdf It doesn't appear to bear any resemblance to prices I see online What do you think the going rate is for a Cortina these days? J2S 129 Posted June 28, 2021 They need to look at the sold listings on eBay and classic car auctions as there prices are off at this time maybe that’s what they think there worth after the COVID price correction
sheffieldcortinacentre 522 Posted June 28, 2021 They've always listed 2000E as more desirable/expensive than pre-facelift GT/GXL, so how many other makes/models are wrong. Bought a copy of classic car buyer today for SA article , headline rare BMW to Sierra V8 Yeah because a BMW is obviously gunna be rarer than one of only 100 fords made! martog 128 Posted June 28, 2021 Off topic slightly but there is a couple of Lotus Cartons on the bay at the moment for less than £45K That money would get you a ring a ding mint mk2 Escort in RS flavour. But I know which car I would rather have.
Neil. 96 Posted June 28, 2021 I don't know what prices are these days, but it seems I see a lot of ads on Facebook, click the link & see the ebay listing has ended, so can only presume they have sold in the region of the price advertised, escorts capris especially, but mk5 cortinas only a few years ago where fairly cheap, now fetching really good money. sheffieldcortinacentre 522 Posted June 29, 2021 To be quite honest I'm not interested in the value I'm in to cars.

I know what you mean, much better for a car to be in the hands of an enthusiast rather than an investor. I look at cars I' interested in and they are a similar value to the cost of my first house, it's difficult to justify spending that amount of money.
