Auto choke

Recommended Posts

Recently purchased mk5 with a manual choke (poorly fitted).. I am reverting it back to autochoke but cannot remember where the water hoses ran off from..

Flow and return to the autochoke housing….

Might have to  invest in the trusty Haynes

Thanks in advance…

U shaped hose coming out of the intake manifold to the autochoke. Other hose exits the A/C and goes the the bottom heater radiator outlet.

As the others have said you could make your own up using the meter lengths.

Personally, I went for black silicone heater hose as you can buy that shaped U section that does the intake to A/C on it's own from Rally Design and does look a lot neater than trying to make a U section up to work around the carb.

Also used the silicone straight lengths to run the other pipe from the A/C to the heater and from heater to water pump.

This is how I've done mine. Pipe coming out of the A/C is just formed to make an S bend.
