Tigdlo 24 Posted September 10, 2021 I am planning to fit my Mk3 4-door shell onto the rotisserie that I made for the restoration of my two Ford 100e’s. Are the bumper mounts either side of the radiator aperture strong enough to support the bare shell at the front, also, at what height should the pivot be placed so that it’s all fairly well balanced? The shell is not at all weakened by rust, I need to totally strip and reseal the underside, and I’m too old now to grovel around underneath!
btboy 29 Posted September 10, 2021 I bought a rotisserie for my mk5 and used the bumper mounts front and back as you suggest. I had no issues. Hope that helps. Can’t recall pivot height
Deano66 205 Posted September 10, 2021 I made my rotisserie for my MK3 estate & the bumper mounts are ok. I don't know about the saloon, but the rear bumper mounts on the estate are different at the back, the offside one is further in.
