I don't know the answer to that one , but I wondered if they were myself , or maybe the same as a Mk1 escort ?

Perhaps someone could advise 🙂

I don't know either but might be worth widening you search as I'm sure they probably used the same locks on most of their range, I do know colin chapman ( Lotus) used an estate lock on the boot of his mk2, probably because he couldn't be bothered to use his key every time.

Mk2 Cortina and Escort mk1 are the same but the Mk1 Cortina is different as the operating cam is in a different place and much shorter overall . Steve.

This is what you need - there are lots of common components among the models - mainly the spacer length.

The problem with my one is that the mazac metal, that the casing is made from, has worn, or been forced with a screwdriver, where the lock wafers, pass, so it wont lock, and anything will turn it.

So I  need to start with a replacement lock , so still looking for one, if any body has one for sale please

I haven't measured mine , but I'm guessing it's the same.

The internal bore on mine has wear marks corresponding to the brass wafer's on the key barrel.

If your one is good on that area , then I think it would do the job.

If not then I think a complete one like your other pictures would  work.

Although I expect my barrel is also worn , it's a bit wobbly where the key goes in, so the wafer's move in and out when you wobble the key.

So pretty much goonered 🙄

I don't have a spare complete one so if you don't find one and need this just let me know.
