whats my Tina worth £ in a cold real world?

Hi All

With my family growing even bigger and our wonderful mayor hating cars more and more, the very sad idea of letting my beautiful Tina go to another good home has started to seem a possibility.

The older members will remember that my Tina was a floor to roof rebuild that took 8 years by Martina the Club Vice president. It was the best rebuild I or most club members had ever seen and I was lucky enough to by her from Martins brother after Martins sad death after a very short illness (he is greatly missed by us Tina lovers)

She is as stunning as the day she rolled onto the forecourt, apart from I have had two upgrades made since holding the keys, She now has Power Steering and a nice 5 speed ford box.

I know she is priceless to many who watched the magic Martin worked but money is a horrible thing to talk about but as I know have 3 lots of school fees to cover I thought it would be best to ask you guys just what would be a good price if i did put her on the market?

I don't know the car but it looks like a top money car. It should be exempt form ULEZ etc so cheaper motoring, if you want to use it that is. I guess that no matter how much you might get for it wouldn't get near to covering three lots of private school fees. Good luck with any sale.

Going by the current rate for really good cars, that asking price is probably about right. Car and Classic or one of the auction houses ( Silverstone, Mathewsons etc ) would probably yield the most money for it.

Don't get me wrong, putting a car for sale on here as first dibbs is good and lets everyone know a vehicle is available.

Good luck with the sale.

Any car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. Auction house sale prices are documented but it's difficult to know what price other cars actually sell for. This is a good quality car, so why not take a leaf out of dealers tactics and start by listing it for way too high then wait for offers hopefully above what your bottom line is. In my opinion £10K should be your lowest, but up to you. Be ready for many silly offers.

Good luck again.

Bear in mind that Auction Houses take a hefty fee of both the seller and buyer. As a guide the Bangers and Cash Auction house would take nearly £1K off both he seller and the buyer on a car that sells for £10k.

Thank you guys,

sat down with Wife last night and come to the conclusion that she is now one of the family and isn't going anywhere. I would never forgive myself nor would the kids. Guess I will just be doing alot of over time for the next 7 years.

Thanks for the wise words guys about keeping her, I guess once she's gone she's gone.
