Rob.aln938y 32 Posted October 27, 2023 After nearly a decade in storage, its time to get Alan (my mk5 estate) back on the road.. Can't wait to get some use out of the old beast I have some heavyweight help on board, in the form of my brother, (a mechanic/mot tester who's been in the business for over 25 years) He has kindly given the car a once over, and it has become apparent that the entire breaking system bar the servo needs replacing, along with numerous suspension components. We have set a target to get the car on the road for my 40th birthday at the end of march..

Stable mates I see are mk2 escort and a Fergy 135?...maybe? Alan was given his name by the previous owner because of his no. plate Good work spotting the escort! Its an RS2000, been sat since 2008, but apparently its gonna be fixed up one day... I can't remember what the tractor is, I think it's a Ford?

Rob.aln938y 32 Posted January 7, 2024 Unfortunately couldn't do it today, the top of downpipe is breaking up and needs replacing. We got it running a couple months ago, but it was a bit spluttery (old carb and stale petrol)

Yeah I'd definitely be interested in that I'd also be interested in a centre box if you have one?
