Where to put manual choke?

Is there a good place to put the choke pull on a mk5?

I know some earlier (mk3/4) had a proper slot in the dash; but I think this is obscured by the radio console on a mk5?

Is there anywhere else I could put it?

I'd put it to the right of the ash-tray, on the lower metal part of the dash.......kind of where the brake fluid check light switch is but on the opposite side, if you know what I mean ?!

I advised someone the other month about the same thing. But this was on one that was already in the place you suggested, I pointed out that in the event of a crash you knee would be in direct line of fire

Afternoon Tibs,  yes I see what you mean.  Maybe mounted on a bracket on the lower edge so it would be a lot lower down?   I'd personally not want it to spoil the dash but then it's a juggling game of aesthetics, practicality and as you so rightly pointed out...safety.

If it was me, I would adapt the ash tray so When you pulled it out It put the choke on
