Thrust washers missing (mk1)

Hi folks,

i am part way through stripping down my cousin’s 1500 prexflow.. during the strip down i noticed excessive crank end float. When I eventually had a look at the crank there were no thrust washers, not even in the sump.. how do I find out  if this has trashed the block and/or crank..

All you can visually & physically measure it or take it to a machine shop/engine rebuilder & get them to do it.

Then check against specs for that type engine.
