mk5 new fuel hoses, what's best?

Hi

I have had fuel seepage over the years from the original and replaced fuel hoses.

Guys, what is the best replacement hoses to use?

I haven't a swiss bank account but with my kids is the car im happy pay for quality, something I can put on and then forget.

 

Any help guys thanks, 

 

ps any rear Mk5 bumpers or Mk5 Bonnets laying around please let me know. cheers x

Whatever hose you fit it's definitely worth keeping an eye on them.

 

You won't need much as the main run of pipe is plastic/nylon type.  I'm guessing a metre length of 8mm(I.D.) hose will be enough?  If your carb has a return you'll need more hose though, 6mm ?

 

Definitely worth refreshing the hardwear using proper fuel clips for securing too ..........

If you run the car on normal E10 unleaded then the hose you buy needs* to be resistant to ethanol, if you search the forum then there'll be info on what markings/specification to look out for.

 

* or replace standard hose every couple of years, which isn't that bad an idea.

I replaced mine with Cohline fuel pipe as it was recommended on here. Got off eBay.
