sheffieldcortinacentre 764 Posted September 3, 2024 Just eng & g box mounts to make sierra prop is right length ( centre mount sits width further back a simple plate bolted between it & original floor mount) use a TX1 taxi rad about £60 new. Twincam down pipe just needs a bridging piece to fit original exhaust. I fit an in tank pump into original tank. Ohc springs are fine. 2.0/2.3 rear axle. sheffieldcortinacentre 764 Posted September 3, 2024 Mainly because there's no hop up bits compared to zetec (even though it costs several hundred just to make one Real Wheel Drive) turbo technics did some conversions I think you could get cams in period. You can fit the 8v head,sump & timing chain + ancillaries to the 2.3 16v frogeye/galaxy eng & still have 145/150 hp & no silly coil packs or dual mass flywheels . disco_monkey79 33 Posted September 4, 2024 On the subject of budget spoilering, I was determined to have a duck tail. Until I saw the prices of the repro rs Capri ones... I happened to be walking past my local body shop as they rolled out a late 80s (3 box shape) 3 series bmw that had been beautifully respayed. Which had a duck tail... £80 on ebay got me one. It's going to need work to fit, but I dare say a Capri one would as well, and was waaaaaaaaaay cheaper. Again, I will share pics when I get finished with welding!
