Power steering for Mk 3

Thanks for that - got a pair ordered. FIngers crossed, because if that resolves it, I can out it back on the ground for the first time in months.

Me too, I now realise how my old schoolmate felt when I gave him a drive a few years back. I've spoilt myself with my other cars because turning the wheel now feels like I need arms like Geoff Capes!

The 205 tyres on mine don't help.  I have a PS rack needing overhauled but that's it.....do I get it sorted and then maybe add an electric hydraulic pump like some of the Peugeot/Citroens have because I think that might be an easier route than trying to get the Ford parts.  Or do I get an electric column conversion?

.......or just carry on, if I keep the speed up it's ok :biggrin:

Whilst PS would be nice I'm going to persevere with the "strong-arm steering" for now .

Me too. I haven't driven 'Red' on the road since his last MOT back in October 2014!
