Ready for Yat 😁

Recommended Posts

Cruise for charity, I'd be interested to know if he has, as a mate is restoring a 79 trams am that we think may have done that.

The clip doesn't ring a bell.

Gator & white lightning are early mid 70's &  revolve around moonshiners .

I asked him a while back and he said he still has the tape at his parents house. I'll ask him again as he forgets like we all do lol.

Not sure what year it was. I'm guessing 84 or 85 ?

I always remember the Starcraft that was used at the front of the convoy.

Yes they ran the build in the mag if I recall, they also built a pickup to give away model A I think.

We think the trans am was silver back then.

I'll see if I can get it off him. I doubt he has a VHS player anymore anyway but I have and also a DVD recorder so may be able to get it transferred.

The last time I asked him he did say I could have it.

Nothing Sad about that Craig. I've still got a fair few VHS tapes and you never know, VHS might make a comeback like Vinyl, CD's and cassettes are.

My mate used to tape small clips off TV during the 80's. He had quite a collection on tape at one point. One I remember was a blue MK4 Cortina and a Capri and the Cortina ended up on its roof in some sort of Warehouse. The actors had Liverpool accents so not sure what that program that was.

That was a programme called 'What Now?'. That was on TV 86 or 87.

... at the end of the intro, the shot of a road and church yard is just around the corner from Sir Ken Dodds' house. The kerb on the left of the road is where Doddy tripped up on his way to choir practice as a boy, damaging his upper teeth. That's how he got those choppers. My claim to fame is, my Dad used to be his milkman.

Oh and yes and Knotty Ash IS a real place.

Funny how far off topic this thread has beccome.

Nice find. Yes, that's the clip I remember. I thought it was the Cortina that rolled but now I saw that clip I remembered that after the roll one of the blokes was hanging out the rear window of the Cortina shouting, Gozgo ?  It would have been around 86.

Also noticed from the opening credits what looked like one of the Boswells from the series Bread and also Lesley Ann Sharpe from the second series of Boon. I didn't remember either of those two in it.

Great story about Ken Dodd  Choppers

I could never remember the names only Joey with the Jag but yes that's him, Jack. He also appeared in the second series of The Responder which i watched recently. Good series that was for modern TV.
