inthis2getha 1 Posted Tuesday at 10:25 AM Hi there, I’m in the process of fitting a new throttle cable, I had a right game working blind to unclip the old cable from the top of the pedal, I stupidly forgot to get a picture 1st and nose I’m mot sure which way it clips back in to the top of the pedal, thought the Haynes manual would help but that show s a completely different clip to the one I have, I’ve tried searching but to no avail, any advice would be greatly appreciated, hopefully the pics show! thanks in advance, Antony
sheffieldcortinacentre 600 Posted Tuesday at 06:50 PM (edited) Its the right way up in your pic. Put cable on pedal, the with clip horizontal & pointing away from you push into pedal below cable. Hinge it upwards until it touches pedal, continue to push clip over top of pedal it will spring over causing the end to drop slightly & lock into place. To remove push in the hook it back over ( finger under the lug) towards you. The tubular one shown in manuals was only fitted to the very early cars.
