JayBob 5 Posted September 12, 2025 Hi all For a autumn/winter project, I thought I'd start the process of sorting out the ragged vinyl roof. Think I'm leaning towards removal & just painting it. I'm planning to do as much of the prep as possible, and then get it painted properly. The main problem I have at the moment is I can't figure out for the life of me how the plastic grills on the C pillar detach. Does anyone know? sheffieldcortinacentre 726 Posted September 12, 2025 You'll have to get behind roof lining, Remove door rubber,rear seat back rest ( two 10mm nuts just below parcel shelf in boot) the pull forward. Remove parcel shelf page plastic bung near each end ( knock upwards with a hammer & blunt rod or similar). Peel roof lining from flange the door rubber went on ( it's glued on so be gentle, on parcel shelf some are glued &/or have square pins. You should be able to pull roof lining away enough to get to the nuts 8 or 10 mm that hold grille on.you may have to gently lever grille from outside as I think they had sealer round them.
