four branch manifold for 1.6 mk4 manual

Looking for recomendations, it seems Ashley may not have sufficent clearance and Pipercross possibly worse....

I used a stainless one from Rally Design (not cheap) a good number of years ago, they still list them under Pinto engined Capris and Sierras but not Cortina anymore.  Might be worth a call to see if those have the right shape/clearance

 

Looks like they supply Ashley ones in mild steel which you have answered already

thanks, it's looking liek i might have to chance an Ashley one and hope i can get it to fit.  I wonder would I derive much benefit from the four branch seeing as I'm not building a race car, maybe a 2" system on the existing manifold might be sufficent?

It's definitely an improvement on standard. What other work are you planning - head, cam, carb etc?

im not planning anything radical, ive already upgraded the carb, i have an unleaded head which i might fit. On the other hand, i might leave it alone as it drives really well as it is.
