Sold anglia boot needed wielding and steering needed doing put new box in still knackered fell out off love with it.so next classic had be a ford and rack and pion steering ended buying this drives like new and never been wieled or messed with.all original

Good looking car, saw it listed recently. Does the Huntsman variant make it mighty rare.

What's the pipe coming from rear engine area to o/s inner wing? looks like original fitment. Breather filter maybe?

Nice car! If you’ve not got it, Grab a copy of feb 2010 Retroford for an 8 page article on the car. 
Clive Dixon used to own it for many years - I have a photo of my cortina with it that I’m currently unable to load up.

It's an anti run on device, it's a solenoid that opens when the ignition is turned off letting a large amount of air into the inlet manifold.

Only fitted to late ohv MK2 escorts/MK1 fiesta with ford single choke carbs  (as other stuff got the VV carb which had a fuel cut of solenoid built into it)

Yes got the retro ford mag i wanted nice 70s or 80s fords regret selling my 2000e i wanted that car back but person got it wants a kings ramson  for it.so when i seen the escort i knew i was going to own it waiting on good weather and new set tyres ready to go
