It's worth considering HD bushes if you're sticking with rubber. Those are the same as stock but don't have the voids in them

just double checking...it's the bush on top of the diff that appear suspect... usual suspects I guess.... this would be the semi trailing arm bush rear, right?

For those bushes i would go poly or solid.

im getting such alot of conflicting info. These seem to be the ones from Motomobil but they're bigger than the size you say https://www.motomobil.com/en/products/rear-axle-semi-trailing-arm-bushing-rear-15059280-515059280.jpg

No idea what Craigs sizes relate to. MM ones are correct for the axle bushes. However they are voided and you may have to change them again in a year or so. As i and others have suggested "go solid/HD".

Those are for body end of arm , you want the ones that go on axle casing. just measured one the metal sleeve is 35mm x 35 mm, overall width of inner tube is 48mm  & all are M12 hole for bolt.

You keep going on motobil because it works out cheaper because in EU I get this, but they keep sending you wrong stuff so it costs you more in the end.

All years/models used the same bushes like for like except the lower arm front bush ( body end) was smaller on prefacelift models, facelift onwards again all used the same one.

I've lost count of how many I've done over the last 40 years.

As said if you won't fit poly ones then go for solid rubber & make sure they don't tighten until weight is on them & don't rattle gun them to 50 ugadugers as this will again rip them apart it short order just nip them up.

ive had the car seven years and not had to change the bushes so I'd take a chance in that, however i'm still getting nowhere in identifing the ones I needs for the ears on top of the Axle. If i could identify the solid ones, from an EU source, I'd go for them, (but not from the UK as it almost doubles the cost).

That's Motomobils diagram and No 5 shown is 15059280-5 as shown in my previous post, which you're saying is the body end, which is no4 .(semi trailing arm front) . They both look the same size to me...39.2 ....so you can see how im struggling to get a defintive answer. length does vary but diameter the same. cortina_345-034.gif

ive ordered rthe ones suggseted from Scotts, the dimensions dont quite tally but only the odd .mm or two so i gues they'll be OK.  Well over €50 ... if i could have identified what i wanted and got them from the motor factors it would be probably half that.

My new garage is very old school and the boss told me he has done hundreds of these, quite nostalgic for him having a Cortina on the ramp. Anyway, he checked the shocks and they're OK afaik and the other bushes look ok to him.  Only once before have i replaced bushes on all the cars Ive had, and that one the axle was all over the place....this one is just a knock so im still a bit concerned its something else....

Try driving it harder

I replaced mine with the poly type when I got the car mainly because I knew I could get the old ones out but wasn't sure about getting new ones in without damaging them and swearing a lot.

Poly type were easy to fit.
